Divine – Costume Jewelry in Venice

With the last train, I arrived in Venice, and I visited the wonderful exhibition “Divine – Stage Splendor”, located in the marvellous Ca’ d’ Oro: a great selection of Costume Jewelry from the private collection of Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo.

It is difficult for me to stop at the simple definition of “non pretious jewels”: the creations and the materials are of very high quality. Their shapes and their “fantasy” represent personality and positive energy. In fact, it is very interesting to understand that all this beautiful bijoux style was developed after the terrible economic crisis in 1929 in America: the idea to overcome a difficult period by designing and producing these “happy” decors is something impressive and from which we should learn a lot.

All the most important designer were there: Trifari, Marcel Boucher, Coro, De Rosa, Eisenberg, Miriam Haskell, Eugène Joseff, Kenneth J. Lane, Pennino, Wendy Gell and Iradj Moini.

The great opportunity now is to combine our glam ad contemporary outfits with “Costume Jewelry” bijoux which will make you emerge a lot because they are unique, colorful, happy, unpredictable and ironic: they could “break” the too “ordinary” clothing we wear.

Luci di Vintage offers its first proposal with the collection “Decori di Natura“, and stay tuned for further updates.
